Every aspect of Dr. J’s practice is aimed at making patients’ time with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Located in the heart of Beverly Hills between West Los Angeles and West Hollywood, Dr. J’s offices are designed to create a welcoming environment to help patients feel at ease and are, of course, maintained at the highest standards of sanitation and safety.

Our Platinum Surgical Center provides Dr. J and his team with a familiar space to work in for greater ease, efficiency, and safety. The facility is regularly inspected to ensure it meets the high standards set by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (QUAD A).

The Road to Beverly Hills

Not one becomes a first-rate Los Angeles plastic surgeon overnight. Young Payam Jarrah-Nehad began his surgical career in the early 2000s with a residency at NYU’s prestigious teaching hospital. He also served in the role of Chief Resident at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, managing the other residents in the hospital’s teaching program.

Next came a hand surgery fellowship at New York’s Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. J credits his experience in working with the delicate bones and muscles of the hand as important preparation for the even more delicate work of a plastic surgeon. Dr. J moved on to a residency at Michigan’s Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center where he spent the next few years training in the intricacies of plastic surgeries, assisting and learning from many of the world’s finest plastic surgeons.

Dr. J moved to Los Angeles to start his own practice and quickly established himself, working with such noted medical institutions as Cedars Sinai Medical Center and Saint John’s Health Center, where he maintains privileges until this day. He opened his first Beverly Hills Medical Office in 2008 and quickly became well-known as a truly excellent plastic surgeon working in one of the world’s most competitive climates.

Over the years, the doctor has built up a worldwide following via social media and word of mouth. As perhaps the best plastic surgeon in Greater Los Angeles, Dr. J’s patients come from all of California, the entire United States, and from around the world.

A Widely Respected Plastic Surgeon

Aside from his board certifications with the ABPS and the ABS, Dr. J is an award-winning physician who has been recognized by nearly every relevant organization in his field. Specifically, he is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons and his work has been published in multiple areas of surgery has been published in an assortment of publications. He is equally fluent in both English and Farsi.

PRO BONO WORK

Dr. J has long been performing procedures pro-bono with such organizations as Operation Smile, which provides medically necessary plastic surgeries to young children in developing nations. On one particularly eventful trip to Chile in 2012, his work took him beyond the typical cleft palate procedures when his presence made an enormous difference in the life of a toddler who had been attacked by a feral dog in a nearby village. While local doctors most likely would have been able to save the child’s life, the young boy would have been badly disfigured, perhaps indefinitely, if Dr. J hadn’t been there to reconstruct the child’s face and give him a chance at a normal and productive life.

For Dr. J, his volunteer work is an extension of his regular day-to-day job. Whatever the procedure, he sees all of his work as part of his commitment to helping all of his patients to get the most out of their lives.
